List of Fish

This is the Catfish. Called so because of it's whisker like barbs, this fish is part of a wide variety of species some ranging in sizes as small as a parasite, to some with their own body armour. These peculiar fish are commonly farmed for food in south east Asia, and smaller species are desired in the Aquarium. In all honesty, I wouldn't name this slimy, rather ugly fish after a fluffy, elegant feline.

This is the Flounder fish. In my own opinion this fish has reached a new level of ugly, but why both it's eyes are on one side of it's head is quite interesting. When a flounder is born, It's eyes are like any other fish. Normal! ,but when it changes from a larve to a juvenile, the eyes move to one side of it's head, depending on the species. Found in the Pacific and Northern Atlantic oceans, the Flounder is a famous fish for it's unique body structure.

This rather square looking fish is called the Box Fish! Strikingly odd but beautiful is just one factor of this fish. Related to the Puffer Fish, the Box Fish is a bony fish (giving it's shape), and can come in 25 different species all with their own pattern but crazily enough, some even have their own pair of Horns! They are found in the Indian, Pacific, and the Atlantic Ocean ranging in size from a match box to a tissue box, these fish truly are Amazing! Amazing enough to have a car based on their design, but sadly it doesn't come with a pair of horns.

This is the Carp. Very common but still a classic fish, testing a fisherman's skills, speed, and of course luck. After all, you can only catch a fish if it choses to take your bait. The carp is found all over Europe and Aisia in lakes and large ponds, being the freshwater fish they are! If you try to catch one in the ocean, well... ...you won't! Their sizes vary from the different species and the poundage, but don't think all carps look like the ones on google images because they are HUGE!

This is the Bone Fish. The Bone fish is known to the world, as the BEST fighting fish ever! The way it just tickles your lure yet manages to steal your bait is impossibly skillful, so to catch one, you have to be even more skilled. But thats just the beggining! Once you've got it, the main problem with fishermen is that they just haven't got enough line! The fish immediately bursts out swimming miles away. I feel sorry for those who don't catch it and have to reel all the line back in. They probably only cast once!

This is the Psychedelic Fish. This extrodinary creature was only discovered recently bouncing around the sea beds of Indonesia. The fish itself was actually found by accident by a scuba diving crew giving tours of the reefs in the area, and the strange look and colours of the fish has inspired a new style of art also taking after the name of the fish.

The Mackerel is a common name to a variety of different species such as the Atlantic Horse Mackerel, to the Spanish Mackerel. These great tasting fish range in all different sizes and all seem to have the same basic structure and appearance, but sadly for me the first one I caught managed to jump out my hands back in the water. There's real fisherman's luck for you!

This fish is the Blob fish!
I have to say that the Blob fish wins my vote for the most miserable looking fish on the planet. This impossible looking fish can be found off the coasts of Australia and Tasmania, but since they live at such deep depths, they are rarely caught let alone seen by humans.

This fish is the Classic yet still marvelous Blue Marlin.
Of course this fish doesn't hold the title as one of the best fighting/sport fish in the world for no reason but sadly I can't write how it feels to catch one because to feast your own eyes on a pacific beast as legendary as that...
...you NEED skill! ...and money! One thing some people don't know about the Blue Marlin, is that it has a brother, the Black Marlin, normaly smaller in size but not at heart, together they both own the sea with their much honoured name.

The Zargana is a personal favourite of mine. The Zargana is a long, thin, sleek looking fish found on the coasts of Turkey and some other hot countries. This eel / swordfish looking swimmer can grow from 6cm to the size of a Man! ,but trust me when I say if its that big, it is very unusual!

This fish is the Monk Fish. Not a fish for the faint hearted if I may say so myself! This odd creature of the deep is found in the North west of the Atlantic, ranging from 1.5m to 1m (Its average size). The fish itself is known to be very rich in taste and it's tail meat is believed to compare with that of a lobster's. I guess this fish is more than just a pretty face.
