This is the Anglerfish.
This fish might be scary if you ever caught one, but the truth is, this fish even does a little fishing of it's own!(Thus explaining it's name) The long growth on it's head illuminates giving off a light which attracts it's prey, and being at these kind of depths, any light is noticeable no matter how small.
As the prey makes contact with the fish's lure, the Anglerfish consumes it's catch, Ironically this is a fish that fishes!

This fish lives all over the world, but found in different forms, ones such as the above, dwelling in the deep, while others like the Frogfish or Monkfish preffering to swim closer to the surface.
